To coincide with the Christian calendar and Shrove Tuesday, Essendon took part in a pancake-themed sports carousel. The children enjoyed flipping 'pancakes' into hoops and completing obstacle races. The egg and spoon race proved particularly challenging and required lots of concentration!

This was followed by a scotch pancake topped with fresh fruit and chocolate sauce in the school hall.
